More than anything, pilgrims need rest. By resting, pilgrims gain strength for the pilgrimage ahead. But you need an appropriate place to rest. This is why we opened Pilgrim House in Gapyeong, one of the most scenic places in Korea.

A resting place for pilgrims

Pilgrim House

boasts of its beautiful scenery.

Surrounded by Mt. Sudeoksan, Mt. Myeongjisan and Mt. Yeoninsan, you can hear the water streaming down Yongchu Valley. In Korea’s finest spiritual center, pilgrims can experience entering the heavenly sanctuary.

Silence and solitude

is our motto of existence.

Our vision

is to bring hope to the world, through meditation and action.

New paradigm of spiritual centers

Pilgrim House is not a prayer retreat center. Pilgrim House is not a traditional retreat center. Pilgrim House uses monastery language but is not a monastery. Pilgrim House is a modern Christian spiritual center that borrows from the monastery’s wisdom. We expect all visitors to remain silent or speak softly when not taking part in a seminar or meeting.

Rest and worship

Pilgrim House is a ‘home for pilgrims’ with comfortable accommodation for visitors. Pilgrim House is also Global Mission Church’s spiritual center. At this new type of Christian spirituality center, you can spend time in prayerful meditation and experience a rich spiritual journey. Furthermore, Pilgrim House is Global Mission Church’s rural church, where you can worship God in beautiful nature.

Silence and solitude is our motto of existence. We expect all visitors to spend time in silent meditation here, and leave as pilgrims ready to change the world.

Pilgrim's Progress Park

The various characters and locations in Christian’s pilgrimage represent people we encounter on our life’s pilgrimage and they also show a picture of ourselves. The false and true pilgrims we meet on the way teach and challenge us on our journey of faith, and guide us to finish well the race set before us. 40 characters that have remained in the text of The Pilgrim’s Progress for so long are reborn as visible statues. On the Pilgrim’s Progress Pilgrimage Park, you can meet the characters made from godly inspiration and wisdom.
