A: At Pilgrim House there are a silent prayer room (Meditatio Chapel) and a loud prayer room (Gethsemane Chapel) as well as 5 personal prayer rooms. The silent prayer room is open 24 hours and the loud prayer room is available unless rented for other use. You may use a personal prayer room after getting the key from the front desk.
A: In the guestroom, there are 2 towels (per person), soap, a hair dryer, shampoo and conditioner. You need to prepare other toiletries. For those who need any of these, we also sell toothpaste, toothbrushes and disposable razors at the first-floor front desk.
A: Cooking is not allowed in the rooms. Due to the smell, cup noodles, fried chicken and pizza are not allowed. Particularly, fruits that generate excessive food waste such as watermelons and melons are not allowed. You may bring simple fruit, chips or bread.
A: Pilgrim House is a Christian spirituality center. We expect all visitors to stay in quiet meditation. So, infants and children (including elementary-aged) have limited access to the facilities. If you bring children, you can stay at Pilgrim Village, which is 8-10 minutes’ walk from Pilgrim House.
A: Pilgrim House is a modern Christian spirituality center that borrows wisdom from monasteries and seeks to stay in meditation. Apart from set worship times (Wednesday service, Saturday prayer meeting and Sunday service), we have Pilgrim seminars every Tuesday through Saturday, and 3 daily Pilgrim prayer times (7 am, 12 pm and 5 pm).
A: Since Pilgrim House is a common space shared by many people, to avoid danger, pets are banned on the premises.
A: Pilgrim House restaurant is by reservation only. The reasons we do so: First, we can get the right amount of fresh ingredients each morning and prepare the best quality meal. Second, we can minimize excess food waste to preserve the environment and provide better service for our guests.
Thus, we only place orders for ingredients based on reserved meals and prepare food accordingly. Meals must be pre-ordered by 12 pm on the previous day, at the latest. (Monday meals must be reserved by 12 pm Friday.)
A: If you visit during the day, if all facilities have been reserved, you may not be able to look around or use the facilities at all. Please check and make a reservation prior to your visit.
A: There is no separate convenience store. But you can purchase toiletries such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, and disposable razors at the front desk if you need any. The café sells drinks, ice cream and baked goods.
A: Please wear modest clothing when coming to Pilgrim House. In summer, please avoid wearing hot pants, mini skirts, sleeveless shirts or slippers.
A: The music in Meditatio Chapel is from audio CDs made by Global Mission Church.
